OC Trauma Division

Dr. Kenneth Kushner, MD, FACS, Assistant Trauma Medical Director, Mission Hospital Trauma Center.  Dr. Kushner graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California in San Diego.  He then crossed the country for medical school at New York Medical College and graduated with honors in 1981.  His residency training was completed at Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center.  He has been serving the Orange County area since 1986.  He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Laser Surgery.  Dr. Kushner is fluent in English, Spanish, and conversant in Hebrew, Yiddish, and a few others.  He is married and has two adult children. 

Dr. Tetsuya Takeuchi, MD, FACS, Assistant Trauma Medical Director, Mission Hospital Trauma Center.  Dr. Takeuchi graduated from medical school in 2001, from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran.  He completed his residency in general surgery at New York Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, New York, and his fellowship in Surgical Critical Care/Trauma at John Stroger Cook County Hospital, Chicago, Illinois.  Dr. Takeuchi is board certified in Surgical Critical Care and General Surgery.  He is fluent in English, Farsi, and adequate in conversational Japanese.  He is married with two young children.

Dr. Matthew Wilson, MD, FACS, an integral Mission Hospital Trauma Team member.  Dr. Wilson graduated from medical school at Georgetown University School of Medical in 1992 in Washington, D.C.  His surgical internship (1993) and residency (1999) programs were completed at King-Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.   His training culminated in 2000 with a Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.   Dr. Wilson is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.  He lives in the Inland Empire and travels to Orange County to serve our community in the trauma department.

Dr. Kevin Chiang, MD, FACS, joined the Mission Hospital Trauma Team in 2019.  Dr. Chiang graduated from the University of California Berkeley in 2006 with an undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology.  He went on to medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and graduated in 2012.  His general surgery residency was finalized in 2012 at the Riverside University Health System/University of California Riverside.  Dr. Chiang completed an Acute Care Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2019.  He is board certified in both General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.  Dr. Chiang is currently a resident in Anaheim and travels to South Orange County to serve on our trauma panel.
